***How to Invest - North Korea Tensions***
Thursday, August 10, 2017
North Korea – thoughts:
Threat of nuclear war does exist
What are the probabilities of a war? No one knows.
Technically the US is still at war with North Korea since no peace agreement was ever signed, only a 1953 cease-fire agreement is in effect, halting the war that started in 1950
Ideas on what you could do with your investments – call your advisor and discuss these options:
Option 1: Do nothing
Option 2: Buy the dip now or soon – this is a buying opportunity to add more stocks to your portfolio
Option 3: Dial back the % of stocks in your portfolio as a defensive play until this crisis passes; that is easy for us to do, simply dialing you back from say a mdoel portfolio #7 to a #3 or #5. Best to do this in a tax deferred account like an IRA to minimize taxable gains on selling.
Option 4: Invest some moneys in our gold bullion model portfolio #11 which holds gold bullion via Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
Option 5: Invest some moneys in model portfolio #8TR (Trend Rotation) which invests in ETFs of gold, long-term treasury bonds and US large cap stocks, via ETFs based on trends in each as described in the Ned Davis research article, see: https://goo.gl/5eJZ52
